My Students

Do you remember how you felt the first time that you saw your published work displayed? I want my 1st graders to feel the same sense of pride.

I teach 22 first graders in a Title 1 School located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. At the present time only a small percentage of my students are at the proper reading and math level. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.

My Project

I am requesting 6 magnetic cork boards in order that my first graders' work can be displayed. Our current unit in literacy is entitled, "I Think I Can." I want my students to create bulletin boards on things that they can and want to do now and in the future. I want my students to feel a sense pride in their displayed writings and art.

Please help us get 6 magnetic cork boards so we can display our current writing and art work.

These boards will make it easy to display and constantly update our classwork. I want my children to be proud of their work.
