We Sing, We Create, We Play

Help me give my students the ability to record into their computers by using their headphones with mics so they can be part of a virtual choir. They also will use the drumsticks for bucket drumming.

My Students

My students are creative and energetic. They love music and want to make music. They really want to sing but since we can't sing because their computer mics are not very good, we are trying to find other ways to let them communicate their emotions. They do not get to experience a lot of music making outside of the classroom so I want to help them make musical projects (songs, beats, instrumental backgrounds, etc.)

My Project

My students will be able to sing and record into their computers so we can produce a virtual choir. The chromebooks that they have do not have the proper mics to get a good recording. They also need good headphones to use for hearing themselves. This will give my students the opportunity to communicate their emotions through song. They will also be able to write songs and sing them so that we can have virtual chorus.

The drumsticks will be used to complete our bucket drumming course.

They have been learning to bucket drum with pencils and eating utensils. They can use these at home and at school and will get to learn the proper technique of drumming. This will again allow them to express their emotions through music.
