Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the technology multimedia teacher for our 6th grade students. Our students are amazing kids. They come from a wide variety of economic backgrounds. Our school provides our students with a safe place and a positive learning environment by providing them with opportunities that enhance their academic learning, creativity and problem-solving skills. This elective class introduces our 6th grade student’s basic multimedia skills.
This course provides our students with a project-based multimedia learning method.
Students acquire new knowledge and skills in which they apply them to design, planning and produce a multimedia product.
The projects are designed to make real-world connections.
My Project
We want to become an exciting and realistic digital classroom using green screen video production. We have digital cameras, a green backdrop and a green-screen movie editing software. We need additional equipment for students to incorporate this technology into their creative work.
Students will be motivated to use green screen to illustrate scientific processes, to act out math word problems, travel back in time to interview famous historical people or act out literary elements of their favorite books.
The possibilities of digital storytelling are endless.
Green screen is an exciting way to make learning visible as students can transport themselves anywhere they need to be to experience and act out concepts that they are learning.
Students will become writers, producers, editors and actors. They will learn, collaborate and problems solve together as they create videos. This will be a great video production learning process and experience for them. The videos will be published and shared with other.
