My Students

I am a Head Start teacher for 3, 4 and 5-year-olds. They come from very poor families and I love giving them all I can. My children love coming to school every day and are so eager to learn.

They are so excited to try new items at school, as they do not know what these toys are, nor do they have them at home.

I love seeing their expressions when I introduce something new to them. My students are at the most important stage of their education. My students are so interested in reading. They can't get enough of me reading stories to them.

My Project

The materials I have chosen for my students will help them with their social and emotional development. The emotions play dough mats will help them express themselves the best they can.

These items will help the students recognize their own emotions and notice that others have the same emotions.

I want my students to be comfortable talking, and showing their feelings and show compassion to others who are having a difficult day.

My students love being creative with play dough and clay and many express themselves in their work, creating with both products when they don't feel like talking about their emotions!
