My Students

My students are in a wide range of ages and abilities. Every student is gifted but finding out what they are gifted in can be difficult. Being the school Media Specialist, I see and work with all the students in the building.

Our community is a small, rural area next to a large expanding county.

This can make it hard sometimes for our economically challenged students. My students are hard workers, but they need more to work with and they need inspiration.

My Project

I have students as young as 4 years old who love to build and program with my code and go mouse. I want to develop these skill and be able to offer them LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics. These robots are specifically for younger children to learn to build and program.

All students should be given the opportunity to build and program robots.

With this project, I will have materials to help my PreK thru 2nd graders learn to design, build and program a robot to do task. This will introduce my youngest students to robotics, programming and a host of STEM careers.
