We are a small, close-knit community. Many of my students are my neighbors. When the flood destroyed our school, many of our students also were dealing with devastation at their homes. Having some stability at school is vital, especially with so much instability at home.
By being able to have a normal looking classroom, although something seemingly so simple, it will bring a sense of peace to our children.
At a time with so much destruction around them, I want my students to have a place of comfort.
My Project
You have greatly helped us in the past by providing two replacement shelves that we lost in Harvey. We need one more shelf and some ink for our projects!
We use these shelves to store our History books and binders.
We are extremely grateful to the shelves we received, however it was not quite as big as the ones we were replacing. Therefore, we are asking for just one more!
In addition, we are asking for printer ink to help with our many History projects. We believe that we learn best by doing, so projects are a major part of our classroom.
