My Students

My athletes come from low socio-economic homes where there is little to no activities that they can participate in, outside of school. Their parents do not have the resources to afford them opportunities with sports teams or monthly memberships to a gym or club volleyball.

Volleyball is not a sport that most of our female athletes understand.

Most of the female athletes in school only know about volleyball through their PE classes or a friend.

These volleyball players show up every day to learn about the sport of volleyball and what it looks like to be a good athlete!

My Project

My volleyball players are in need of Tachikara SV-5WSC Indoor volleyballs. They need volleyballs for practice and games. Having the right amount of volleyballs available would save them time during practice instead of waiting for a chance to serve a ball or practice a drill. Too much time is spent waiting around because we do not have enough volleyballs for everyone on the team. The volleyballs we have now tend to go flat by the end of practice. They have a slow leak in the bladder of the ball, so it is not able to hold the air for the whole practice.
