Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students make our school remarkable. The majority of our students are low-income/ high poverty. The median income of households in our town is just over $28,000 per year. Many students lack materials and support they need.

Despite the odds, our children work very diligently with the resources they have to succeed.

The graduation rate in our district has been increasing each year. With extra help and tools our children will achieve even more. In my classroom, I have seen some awesome gains in MAP scores and some unbelievably excited students when they realize, "I got it!"

My Project

My students will use these awesome stools to help them focus. This is a great way to focus extra attention, so that students are able focus on what's really important.

Many students are active but very smart.

Students love to move and learn in novel ways. Wobble stools will help students channel their energy straight in their work. They can move while they may be required to stay in one place.

These resources would be a great asset to my students, improve classroom behaviors, and student achievement. I would like to see more students succeed and provide the tools to help them.
