Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the opportunity to teach and enhance the learning of the entire school. My classroom is not the "normal" classroom because my classroom is the library. Our school is a Title I school where our students face struggles daily and we try our best to provide them with the best and most that we can.
Our school provides a learning opportunity for about three hundred and fifty students ranging from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
We are a Title I school without proper funds to provide needed resources for our students. Our students are eager to learn and face many struggles in their home lives. We, as teachers, try our best to provide them with a nurturing, caring, and family-like learning environment. I am looking forward to getting this project funded to help us provide amazing opportunities for our students.
My Project
My students could benefit from a large projector pull down screen so I can display visual materials and resources to them. Currently, I have a small screen that is harder for students to see from all areas. This would increase the quality of the classroom instruction.
Students learn a variety of different ways, and ensuring that I can utilize my projector to show students a variety of resources will enhance their learning.
Students will be able to see the materials and resources better with a bigger screen. I also need better speakers so the students can hear a variety of resources such as read alouds, author book talks, etc.
