My Students

My students are very special. I have students ranging from Honors level to special needs. All of my students are motivated to learn.

They come from very diverse backgrounds.

I have students coming from different religious, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is in one of the largest cities in the state. Our school is the largest middle school in the state. Our school district is home to 50,000 students. We take care of all of these children as if they were our own.

My Project

In any classroom, having a good selection of reading materials is important. My current classroom library is lacking in high-interest reading materials. These selected biographies will enable students to not only improve their reading comprehension skills, but also give them exposure to important past and current historical figures. They will allow students more independence in what they choose to read. By learning about these important historical figures, they will also be able to make connections to other subjects they are studying in school. Learning across the curriculum is very important in getting students to fully grasp what they are learning.
