This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing, creative, unique individuals that understand hard work and determination can bring them unique opportunities and success.

Every student at our school leaves being able to perform on at least one musical instrument and receiving a well rounded, hands-on musical training.

Students at our school are given the opportunity to participate in Bands, Choir, Orchestras, and Guitar Ensembles outside of the school day. These groups have advanced and succeeded competing at the District and State level, in which every ensemble received a Superior Rating for their performances (being the first in Chicago Public School history to do so).

My Project

In order to provide students with high quality materials for years, materials must be taken care of and they must be organized in a way in which takes up little space and can be moved easily. These stand racks will provide that organization and ease of transportation.

As well, this will give us the organizational materials to add more music stands in the future so that all new materials can be properly maintained and transported.

Throughout the year, the Bands, Choirs, Orchestras, and Guitar Ensembles have many performances that require us to bring our own music stands and these racks will enable us to easily transport our materials.
