This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from one of the neediest populations of our city in Massachusetts. Over 50% of the children in the school are English Language Learners.

Many of the school's children come from the three low income housing developments and a homeless shelter that surround the school.

In 2002 our school was labeled under performing. However, since then, due to the hard work and dedication of administration, faculty, and students, the school has made tremendous growth and is no longer labeled under performing!

My Project

Some children just have to keep moving (and moving)! I am asking for 2 wobble seats to enhance the learning of my busiest second grade learners. Wobble seats allow children who have difficulty sitting still the ability to move around a bit while they work! Children who are often considered hyperactive or ADHD have different learning styles. Wobble seats allow students to move and adjust themselves in a non-disruptive way. These chairs will allow my students to burn off excess energy while sitting and help them become more attentive in class! Please help me bring these benefits into my amazing classroom!
