My Students

This year our 8th grade students who range in ability levels from academically gifted to exceptional children or special education students will be taking a class trip to Orlando, Florida. We will visit Sea World and participate in the Oceans Discovery Education Program, visit Disney Magic Kingdom and participate in the Disney Youth in Education Series: Discovering American Spirit, and visit Disney Animal Kingdom. This is a once in a life time experience for many of our students who come from lower income families.

We are requesting help with our expense for the charter buses to be able to make this trip to Orlando, Florida so many students will be able to make this once in a lifetime experience.

My Project

My students have the opportunity to go on a field trip of a lifetime but we need some help with the transporation cost. Since the trip is across state lines we cannot take school buses and we must take expensive charter buses. We plan to visit Sea World and participate in an ocean species education programth at correlates to our science curriculum. We also plan to participate in an education program at Walt Disney World that correlates to the social studies curriculum.

This trip will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many students, as many students in our community come from economically disadvantaged homes and have never been out of our home state.

We are very excited to offer this trip as an opportunity for students to see more of the country and to have experiences they may not get to have otherwise.
