This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day I see that these are very determined and intelligent students. My students love to come to school.

My students love to read.

They especially enjoy novel studies. We have read the first two books in The City of Ember series and we would love to have a set of the third book in the series, The Prophet of Yonwood. My students are really invested in this series and are very curious as to what will happen next in the series.

My Project

We have read the first two books in The City of Ember series and want to know what happens next. This project will allow my students to dive back into the worlds of Ember and Sparks and find out what happens next to Lina and Doon as they go on another adventure. This series appeals to all types of readers.

My students who were not readers, have become really invested in this series and want to continue reading.
