My Students

The students in our school district are the most at-risk population. Most of our students are residents of a residential treatment facility for emotionally troubled youth. About one-third of our student body is made up of day students, who have had no success in traditional schools.

All students have past histories of trauma, abuse, neglect, and emotional/behavioral issues.

Our students have also experienced academic failure and most function well below grade level.

All students come from low-income homes, where parental support is lacking in most cases.

My Project

Digital breakouts and escape room activities are fun and engaging ways for students to learn and review educational content.

This appealing trend allows students to solve puzzles and clues using deductive reasoning, content knowledge and collaboration skills.

Students have so much fun, they don't even know they are learning. This project will allow us to access digital content that will be used in the classroom to ensure students master learning standards and meet academic, as well as IEP goals and objectives.

We can't wait to "escape" the classroom and enjoy learning.
