My second grade students are curious, energetic, and creative. They are very eager learners, and need to have every opportunity to be engaged in their learning.
Using hands-on activities play an important role in sparking the students' love of learning.
Each day, my second grade students work hard to learn new concepts. I want to enhance their learning by incorporating more critical thinking and teamwork, but we do not always have the resources or materials needed to do this. I want to keep my class engaged by incorporating activities into the everyday curriculum and make it a seamless part of the learning process. The children are so eager to learn, and I want to give them every opportunity to grow as thinkers and learners.
My Project
BreakoutEDU is a learning-based gaming experience that engages learners of all ages. BreakoutEDU uses locks, locked boxes, invisible markers, UV flashlights, timers, puzzles, and codes. Students will need to use teamwork and critical thinking to solve a series of challenging puzzles in order to open the locked boxes.

Breakout EDU kits will do just that! They provide new and exciting learning opportunities, while seamlessly integrating into our curriculum.
I am so excited for this opportunity! We already have a few boxes, but we are looking for one more so that we can use them in small groups. I want to show my students that learning can be fun and innovative. This kit will help them to stretch their thinking and be complex problem-solvers. Working together will help the students to build creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills, which are such an important part of education today.
