My Students
A typical day in my classroom is fun but rigorous for the kindergartners. We use technology in the focus lessons of both math and reading. Also, a lot of my students come from lower-income families and 100% of my campus is on free lunch. Every day we start our day off with a cheer about being important! I want my students to not only hear this every day but also be treated like they are important!
I have never had students before that are so deep in thought about the world around them and inquisitive about how things work.I spend a great deal of time and money on creating centers for their learning and I would love a way to keep them organized.
My Project
I hand make almost all of our math and literacy centers. I have now been in kindergarten going on 5 years. You can just imagine how many files I have. They are currently sitting in gallon ziploc bags without any order to them in a cabinet. I would love to have a dedicated math and literacy center storage bins for easy, labeled access. This would allow me to keep the centers organized for easy access to ensure that all my students mastered all the skills needed in order to be successful. I would love for the students to be able to go over the shelves and grab a center when they needed an extra center.
