Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our community school is very diverse where many backgrounds and languages are represented. For most of our students, English is not the primary language. As a result, our students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, my school is always looking to provide our students with meaningful learning experiences.
As Albert Einstein said, "The only source of knowledge is experience." Learning needs to be an active process.
It is my goal as an educator to help my students not only reach the next reading level, but to keep my students motivated to learn.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are the writing utensils we use daily. With an interactive classroom, we are consistently using our white board markers and boards. Each student always has a white board marker at their fingertips to answer a question, whether it is in reading or math. The white board markers allow all students to be held accountable during whole group lessons.
These markers have also allowed us to save on the amount paper we use.
Our current supply of whiteboard markers are running low. Donations to this project will help us get the "write" supplies.
