Half our students are on fee waivers, yet last year those same students collected 93,000 cans for our community food drive. They know how to give; they deserve help.
We don't want half our students to exclude themselves from participating in sports because they can't afford proper equipment.
This is our very first year to start a lacrosse team, and we are excited to start a tradition of lacrosse as a more inclusionary sport. You can help provide access for our low-income students to participate.
With Lacrosse becoming a sanctioned school sport this year, we have low-income students who want to participate in our first school team ever! We have students coming out for open field practice every week, and currently, we are using old beat-up balls that we have cobbled together. Because the balls are old and slick, it can be difficult for players to cradle them.
Most of our players are brand new, so we need new balls to teach proper fundamentals of ball control.
With our low-income demographic, these balls will ensure every student has equal access to a skill driven sport that teaches discipline, leadership, teamwork, all while building individual confidence.
