My students need glue sticks, dry erase markers, Ticonderoga pencils, and two new stability balls to keep things moving in our classroom.
This project expired on December 21, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
In our classroom, we do things a little differently. For example, we sit on stability balls rather than chairs, and art is integrated whenever possible.
The majority of my students are second language learners and are on the free and reduced price lunch program.
Despite their socioeconomic status, they are eager to learn. They deserve the best education I can give them, and I do my best to create meaningful and memorable experiences.
I am requesting basic supplies (glue, pencils, and whiteboard markers) because we go through them faster than I can keep up. I am also requesting two new stability balls to replace the ones we lost to holes. Students should not be asked to sit still all day. I believe allowing them to move helps them to focus and retain information.
These materials will help me maintain my classroom.
We are in constant motion tackling new challenges and creating memories. I don't want to have to stop that excitement because we are out of glue or need new pencils.
