We Need Supplies for Science!

Help me give my students a variety of items like paper, band aids, and storage to add to their science classroom.

My Students

Students who enter my classroom are bright, young individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. My school has a very high percentage of students receiving free lunch. Many students in my school struggle to bring a pencil or paper to class. My school has a garden that students have the chance to work in.

I believe every student can be successful.

In my classroom; students are taught to work hard every day no matter what they are facing in life. I believe that every student is able to overcome and triumph. Many of my students rise to my expectations through their behavior and classwork.

My Project

My project includes many items that will be used in a variety of different ways. The colored paper and cardstock will be used to color code units as well as vocabulary for the unit. The colored paper makes items easy to find in my students science notebooks, and it also makes the science notebook a bit more fun for the students.

We will be adding a STEM center to our classroom and many of these items will be used to organize that spot!

The shoe racks will be used to place STEM boxes on for easy access for students. The boxes will be put in so that the box number can be seen. The large rubber maid crates will be used to organize the extra STEM items that are not currently out in the pencil boxes. The light switches will be used to plug the lamps into, so that we can minimize classroom time lost while students turn the lamps on in the morning.

The wireless keyboard will be used to allow students the freedom to type from their desk onto the smart board. The caution tape will be used for our BREAKOUT EDU games that we complete in class. It will add an element to our classroom to up the excitement in students. We have recently lost our door stop to the classroom and would love one that attaches to the door. This will allow us to not loose it anymore. The band aids will be placed in our outdoor bag and used as needed while students play during courtyard time.
