Help me give my students a table that we can work together for small groups and one on one instruction. Also, we need to add some more flexible seating options to accommodate the different learning styles.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach the most hardworking and amazing students in a low income, inner-city school, where all students receive a free lunch.
My students come to school every day with wonderful hearts and an awesome outlook on learning!
They love to read to themselves and each other. They look forward to that time when they can lose themselves in a book while seeking a comfortable place. They melt my heart every day when they come to school and give their all, despite the challenges they may face.
My Project
Imagine a class of students who are engaged in their learning and the teacher is able to pull numerous small groups a day. That is ours!! Individualized instruction is VERY important in our every day. All students learn differently and have different needs.
Therefore, we need a table that we can meet for small groups and work comfortably.
Most of the time, we are building and writing words there. The wipe off feature would be very beneficial to our learning.
Also, we need the yoga balls for our flexible seating. The bath mats will go under our wobble stools so they don't leave a mark on the floor. The ones we have now need to be replaced. These materials will help us to be engaged and learn the most we can.
