We Need Some Working Equipment and Organization in Our Classroom
My students need headphones when using computers. Plastic stools would be helpful when kids come to my table for a change of seating. Dry erase boards and plastic colored caddies will help with organization.
Our school comes from a variety of different economic backgrounds. Despite some of the challenges a lot of my kids are faced with daily, they come to school each day and are ready to excel.
My classroom is filled with energetic 6/7-year-olds who are eager to learn.
I love being able to work with these kids and really see them excel in their knowledge and reading levels. First grade is an important grade. This is the year where they will really grow in their reading comprehension/levels.
My Project
We have a computer lab that we attend weekly. We always have issues with the headphones not working or only one ear is working. This is so annoying and time-consuming trying to fix these issues. With a good class set of headphones, we can get started on the computers right away without these issues.
These items will help my class get organized, have fun seats to come sit on at the reading table and let each of the kids focus on the computer programs we have to work on.
Having fun seats at the reading table will help to encourage kids to want to come and learn at the table with the special chairs. Being able to use a dry erase board that erases easily would be great too! Colored caddies would make it easier for the kids to have organized materials at their tables that match their table color.
