I work with an incredible group of diverse kindergarten students. Most of the families are low income families and educational materials are hard to come by.
Early childhood grades have always been something that is very near and dear to my heart.
There are so many different cultures and personalities, but the one thing that my students all have in common is that they all love to learn and work together as a classroom community. They each have a lot to offer and share.
My Project
I am requesting for basic various art and writing supplies from Lakeshore such as jumbo pencils, putty, crayons, blank books and stickers for my writing center.
I am so excited for the upcoming school year, but as I am cleaning out my classroom, I realized I was lacking a lot of simple writing tools for my learning centers.
With the pencils and blank books, my students will be able to keep a weekly journal about their adventures within the classroom. They crayons will be used to add colors into their stories. I would also like to use the therapeutic putty to help strengthen the little fingers that comes into my classroom this September.
