Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Why do I need to know this? I am hungry! I didn't have breakfast. These are the concerns that most of my students have on a daily basis. Learning physics is important so my students can understand the world where they live. However, my students cannot concentrate in class if they are hungry. I want to help them to take care of themselves by having healthy snacks. They want to learn and understand how physics apply to their everyday life. They are intelligent young men and women who if given the opportunity can learn and excel in the science classroom. However, sometimes they are too hungry to concentrate.
My students need snacks so they are not hungry in class and they can concentrate better in the physics class and at school.
The snacks will satisfy some of my students' basics needs. It will help my students to remain engaged in school work and it will motivate them to come to class every day.
My Project
My students are teenagers who have trouble arriving at school on time. Often time they skip breakfast and they are hungry during most of the school day many of them skip lunch as well. As the school day progress, students are hungry, tired, and they lose their focus on their classes.
Who can learn when feeling hungry?
No one, this projects will help my students to satisfy their need for food so they can concentrate and perform better at school. Snacks will motivate my students to come to class and it will increase their ability to concentrate on the physics lessons.
