Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fourth and fifth graders are resilient! They are adjusting to virtual learning while a few are attending face-to-face learning. I'd love to provide my students with a well-organized classroom as well as assisting them in achieving their personal reading and writing goals this year. My class is comprised of 50 students from different backgrounds.
The dual-language program is special in so many ways that it gives me the chance to impact all these students with multiple styles of learning.
When they enter my classroom, it's not only my job to prepare them academically, but also to impact them to be well-rounded citizens. I want them to be successful in the classroom and to provide a safe and welcoming environment with your help.
My Project
Due to the circumstances of COVID-19 and the adjustments we have made in the classroom, we are no longer able to share snacks among students. Many of my students do not bring a snack for our morning break or afternoon snack. I have had several students ask if I have snacks that they could have because they didn't have snacks for the day. I have bought snacks for them but a box will only last a few days.
I would love the opportunity to have additional snacks readily available in my classroom for those who are unable to bring one.
We have designated time in our daily schedule to have a break and a snack. Having these snacks available will help my students stay focused and have happy bellies. Please help me to provide a healthy snack to my students for their morning and afternoon snack time.
