Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hands down, the best part about our school is our students! We are a public school with an extremely diverse population. We have 560 amazing students at our school. At our school, we are deeply committed to individualized instruction, allowing every student to reach his/her full potential! High academic and behavioral expectations are reflected in our school's core values: Be Respectful, Work Hard, Help Others, and Strive for Excellence.
Families are also engaged in the learning process.
We are confident that all students can achieve at high levels.
Kindergarten is a very busy place! I personally think that Kindergarten is the best! It is an absolutely magical place to be! There is just so much growth that goes on in one year. It's truly amazing to watch the transformation, and I am very proud to be an instrumental part of that!
There are 25 students in my new classroom this year. Although I am very happy that I moved into a bigger classroom, it gets small very quickly with 25 students! I am very excited about the new school year and look forward to a wonderful year with them!
My Project
Do you ever have those kind of days that you just need a little bit of help to get you through those fidgety times? Well, I found the perfect solution for some of my Kindergarteners! This fun assortment of sensory items in this project will be perfect for several of my students. These items will provide students with a totally unique sensory experience!
The" Hide & Seek Discovery Ball" allows students to explore spatial relationships and build dexterity as they hide the sensory balls in the giant, easy grip ball.
The "See Inside Sensory Blocks" allow students to get a hands on sensory experience with the clear blocks. The blocks are filled with balls that make intriguing sounds with every shake. The sensory stacking toys are brightly colored with bold patterns and fun to touch textures. The "Rainbow Stack Ball Track" is a bright, colorful tower full of spinning action! Students build eye/hand coordination as they drop the balls and watch them whirl, rattle and tumble through each level.
I think that there is a great assortment of items in this project that will help my students through those fidgety times.
