Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every year students need so many things to get the school year started off right. Getting those supplies should be a fun and exciting time. Unfortunately, my students do not have the opportunity to buy brand new school supplies.
My students are talented and creative!
They also have very difficult lives. Unfortunately they are in a school where over 80% of our school population lives at or below the poverty level. Getting their daily needs met can be a challenge. It is a difficult task to teach students to love school because living in the city is quite a challenging experience.
My Project
I would love to be able to give my students new supplies like colored pencils, crayons, markers, and paper. Their faces will light up when they receive these new items. Nothing is better then a new box of crayons and a fresh piece of paper to start the school year off right. They will read and write with the help of these wonderful supplies.
By providing us with your support you will be assisting me in creating active and creative students who have a love for learning.
They will read,and write stories. Most importantly, they will learn that someone cares enough to give them all that they need to succeed.
