This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing! I teach ACT prep at a Title l school in north Memphis. My students work hard at school with an extended day that runs from 8:00 to 3:45 to help bridge learning gaps. I am always amazed by my students' creativity and interest in learning and being their best selves.
I have the honor to teach juniors ACT prep, this class directly impacts their ability to get into their dream college.
Last year my students raised their average from a 13.9 to a 16.3 from working hard in my class. This year I know we can do even better. My students are eager to learn and improve their ACT score.
Thank you for your support!
My Project
Our classroom needs more pencils, tissues and wipes. Students take and use the pencils in all seven of their classes. When we run out of tissues the students resort to using toilet paper which is rough of their noses. At the end of the day my 7th period wipes down each desk to rid it of all germs.
The tissues and wipes will ensure my students stay healthy throughout the winter and don't miss any class time.
Your donation would go towards making my class run smoothly with every child having a writing utensil. It would ensure that students had soft tissues to use when they are feeling under the weather. And would prevent the spread of germs from one child to the next.
Though these supplies may seem basic they add up to a lot and ensure maximum class time so all students can raise their ACT score.
