My students come into our classroom every day full of life and energy. They also come in with much baggage. I teach in an inner-city school in Kansas City, Kansas. We are a Title I school where 90% of the students receive free lunch and everyone receives free breakfast on a daily basis. We are in a county that is one of the most diverse areas in the United States.
In my small school (about 400 students) there are over 20 different languages spoken!
I'm asking for the online reading resources Reading a-z and Raz-Kids combined. Since we have been distance learning I am unable to access the reading resources that I have available at school.
Reading A-Z and RAZ kids will help my students maintain and strengthen their reading ability and skills while we are away from school and using our technology to learn in these uncertain times.
These 2 programs work together to assist me in assigning books to my students at their current reading level and it also helps me monitor when they are ready to move up a reading level or if they need extra intervention.
Even when we return to school, Reading a-z has a phenomenal library of reading material that I would use to supplement what I have at school. These 2 programs also offer high interest reading material at all reading levels. Reading is the skill that determines all other paths.
