My Students
I am so fortunate to be working at a phenomenal school in a fantastic district. I have a class full of adorable students. They are so energetic and full of life. They come to school every day like little sponges absorbing and taking in everything.
Love where you learn.
That is our school theme this year, and I already can feel the love from my colleagues as well as the families here. What an amazing environment for a student to be able to learn in!
My Project
Providing my students with these nonfiction scholastic magazines would help educate them about current events, science, and social studies. Most of my students may never have a local newspaper in their home and they need to be exposed to real life nonfiction reading to help them grow as productive citizens. Knowledge is the key and these magazines will help me provide knowledge to my students. The best thing about these magazines is that they can take them home and read them to their families and help educate their families on current topics.
Every child deserves a chance at achieving greatness.
These magazines will be a tremendous tool in my curriculum. They will allow me to offer my students a chance to read about current events written on their grade level so they can understand and comprehend what is happening. Maybe a leader will develop and step forward because of an event they read about in a 4th grade nonfiction magazine.
