Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have dreamers, leaders, mathematicians, and friends in our classroom family. I work in a Title I school where our students and teachers have been directly affected by Hurricane Harvey. Despite it all, we are blessed to be able to provide the opportunity for learning and rebuilding in our school. This is the spirit of our school, students, and families. I am blessed to have an amazing chance to continue with the same group.
Amazing leaders, creative writers, and hard working friends are building another year together.
They love to read and the energy for learning is contagious! I have some amazing, bright, and creative second graders! This year, I am fortunate to be able to spend another year with my class. My students are excited about our reading, technology, writing, science, and math centers. I want to give them the tools to be successful second graders!
My Project
My students are hard workers and use their notebooks for note taking in our mini-lessons and in our reading and math centers. We use all these basic supplies daily.
Therefore, our classroom needs to replenish our school supplies.
We need wide-ruled notebooks, composition books, scissors, and new folders with prongs. With the new year comes new students and our notebooks are running out of space.
We will have the necessary supplies for the rest of the year. I teach in a Title 1 school where over 100% of our students get free breakfast. This would be extremely useful for our classroom. Thank you so much for your support in our classroom.
