My Students

What good are nooks if they don't have many books on them? My students currently have 6 Nooks. Unfortunately, we have very few books for them yet.

I teach second grade at a public school in an impoverished area in Philadelphia.

This year, I have a large class of students who love to learn. They are very sweet and everyone who meets them falls in love with them. They are constantly requesting new books. It would be my dream to make their dream come true.

My Project

I am requesting two Barnes and Noble gift cards in order to purchase e-books for my students. I plan on purchasing a wide variety of high interest books for my second graders. The books on the nooks will be a great incentive to get my students to read. What good are nooks if they don't have many books?

The Barnes & Noble gift cards will make it possible to give my second graders amazing reading material on their new nooks.

Please help my students become more proficient readers. This would be a dream come true.
