Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I am teaching 29 fourth graders. I teach in a Title I school, located in a very high-poverty and high-crime area of Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have eight special education students and five ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Many of my students in my classroom have an in-class social worker. I would appreciate as much support as I can get for my little ones. Thank you in advance.
My Project
I would love to get my fourth graders new lunch bags.
Please support me in getting my students new lunch bags in order to bring food and drinks to and from school.
Only a few of my students currently have lunch boxes. It would bring me JOY if my students had lunch boxes. I always send my students home with food at the end of the day. Most of my children end up holding their food. This typically ends with lots of spills.
Thanks so much for making a difference in the lives of my students. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
