100% of my students are from a military family. This means that quite often, one or both parents are deployed for long periods of time. We are a very transient school, with families frequently moving in and out. This is my 27th year teaching and my 8th year in kindergarten. I will be teaching in an inclusion classroom this year, which will include students with a wide range of skills and abilities.
From small beginnings, come great things.
I believe that a child's first school experience can shape their attitude about learning for life. It is my goal to make that experience as positive as I can. I try to make learning fun and meaningful, and we laugh everyday.
My Project
Our classroom is in great need of 6-packs of leveled readers for use during our reading groups. My students need highly engaging text to encourage their love of reading! My students currently take home leveled readers to read with their families at home that have several of their beloved book characters like Bella, Rosie, Jack, and Daisy. I want to bring these same characters into our reading groups each day. This project was created to get the 6-pack of books we desperately need for our reading groups.
My students will love the easy to read text, vibrant pictures, and the silly stories that go along with these characters.
