My Students

My students are among the brightest yet most deprived students in our urban community. 100% qualify for free lunch. The typical school environment has not been one in which they thrived. Thus, they are attending an alternative learning school.

We are dedicated to providing an education to meet their academic needs while helping them to overcome many of the obstacles in their lives which may have been handed to them by generational poverty status.

The traditional learning expectations have encouraged many students to drop out of school, thus impacting their future successes. Our goal is to lead by example with a work ethic and high character. We want each student to feel loved, valued, and respected. We can accomplish this by meeting them where they are, setting high expectations, and permitting them to help us understand how to meet their goals. With this project, my students can explore all the online learning opportunities.

My Project

My students need new headsets to support learning.

These alternative-learning style students need quality headsets to study and assess via online lessons.

With adequate headsets the students will achieve at higher levels because they will be able to hear clearly and precisely the instructional materials. They will be prepared to achieve higher levels of academic success on a daily basis. They will be better prepared for state mandated assessments. Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies skills will improve with funding for this project. They will achieve at higher levels on auditory assignments while using these quality microphones on the headsets.
