My public school is located in Green Bay Wisconsin and is proud to serve a diverse learning community of 550- PreK-5 students and their families.
Approximately 30% of our students have a limited English proficiency and approximately 65% are economically disadvantaged.
Our students, staff, parents, and community are valued, involved, and invested in the success of our school. In addition to high quality instruction, we offer the following services: Title I reading support, Reading Recovery support, math and literacy intervention, ELL/ESL support, special education services, student services support (school counselor, social worker, and psychologist), college tutors, parent and community volunteers, gifted and talented support, and literacy and instructional coaches in both English and Spanish. We also offer both one-way and two-way bilingual programs with instruction in Spanish and English every day. Knowledge of and experience with PBIS and CHAMPS allows teachers to commit to a school community with a problem solving/conflict resolution system.
My Project
I work with 40+ Pre-K to 5th grade students working on individualized speech-language goals. To support student success, planning for ongoing age appropriate activities for continued home practice can be difficult and extremely time consuming. And now, with public school closures due to COVID-19, it is even more important than ever to find engaging home activities.
Super Duper Publications offer fun, kid-friendly therapy products that my students would love!
My students would greatly benefit from Turn & Talk® Early Sounds, Jumbo Articulation Drill book and CD combo, 180 Hidden Pictures for Articulation Practice, What's Different?, and Hidden Picture Scenes. These activities could be easily sent home for continued practice outside our therapy room to support ongoing speech-language progress.
