Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Why be average when you can be amazing?! Every day we are structuring the environment for success. We use fun activities the children enjoy to make learning fun. We are learning and promoting exploration of grade level standards while teaching the children how to manage their own social-emotional needs.
My students are loving, energetic, awesome, and amazing children who are working diligently on grade level standards.
They are full of life, and we use every moment as a teaching moment. Our campus is designed and structured to help all of our students safely succeed at being the best individuals they can be.
My Project
My students would love to have a variety of seating options within the classroom to choose from while completing their work. My students love to sit, learn, and work on the floor in various locations throughout the classroom. Providing them a choice of where to work and an area to do this comfortably would make a world of difference for them!
Flexible seating not only provides my students with motivation, but creates independence and ownership in their educational experience.
Flexible seating options allow students the ability to get the extra movement they need and provides additional sensory input to assist them in their own success. The futon will provide opportunities for collaboration and choices which is another benefit of flexible seating that promotes a more engaging learning environment.
