I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they have learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!
Help me help them with childhood obesity!
My Project
We do a lot of station work. It would be very helpful to have the pocket shoulder folders for the cones. This will show the students what to do at each station to keep them active. Some stations need a cd player. We have music on the computer but there are many times we need music at more than one station. Last year our cd play finely had enough and died after several years. So we need a new one. Having the teirdrop basketball goals will be wonderful for the younger students. When we do basketball stations these will be so handy for the students who can not get the ball to the regular goal. I know this will be so helpful for them.
Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity.
With your help, we can get our students on the right track to start their own fitness program. Students will benefit from this program for many years to come. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future.
