My Students

If you walked into my 2nd Grade Classroom, you would hopefully see students engaged in many different activities that challenge their reading and math skills. At the end of the school year, I hope my students will have the academic and social skills needed to succeed in 3rd grade.

Our school has a diverse student body comprised of 43.6% African American students, 17.2% Asian students, 12.7% Hispanic students, 23.2% White students and 3.2% Multi-Race, Non-Hispanic students.

Additionally, 53.8% of our students are considered low income, 15.3% of our students are identified as having special needs and 10.8% of our students are English Language Learners.

My Project

In order for my 2nd Graders to be successful in their learning, each student needs to know the importance of staying organized so I am asking for genuine Aussie Pouch® Organizers. If students can find their materials, they will maximize learning time. When students have their materials in their own spot, students feel a part of the classroom community because they have their "own spot" that is only theirs.

This project will improve our classroom, by keeping it nice and organized.

Students will be able to find their materials quickly and know that they own a spot in the classroom where their materials can be quickly found.
