Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am blessed to be the librarian at our school. Our students come from all over Dallas to attend our dual language magnet academy. Our library is new, and we need more books. The students at our school are voracious readers, and I can't wait to fill our shelves with all of their dreams and desires. They are truly a gifted and talented bunch, and I want to meet and exceed their need for great books.
My Project
Our gifted and talented students are speed reading through their library books, and they want more. We are a new school with a limited inventory of books. We need help filling our shelves. Our students have been asking for particular titles, and I have tried to include as many as I can in this project. They love to read so much. I would be so happy if I could provide them with additional books for them to check out. Our students give us their best everyday. In return, I want to offer them the best selection of books possible. I have lots of empty shelves that need to be filled.
