My students need chapter books to read as a class. I am asking for three class sets of books recommended by our current curriculum and a book shelf to store books.

My Students

Do you have a favorite book that you can remember from childhood? I do, and I want to read great stories with my students that will hopefully get them learning and loving to read. Our current reading book is not aligned to current standards. The books I have picked out are and will be fun to read.

My students are 4th graders.

Some already love to read and others find it boring. With new books, I am hoping to inspire a love and passion for reading in all my students as we take a journey together reading. These books will benefit not only my students but all of the 4th grade.

My Project

I am asking for three chapter books. I am also asking for a bookshelf so the book are easy to get to and will have a place to be stored in the classroom. The chapter books will be shared throughout my entire grade level. I believe chapter books will make reading more fun and help students learn more than with our current Harcourt book. Currently my students all have to share reading books because there are not enough.

You can learn so much more with chapter books than you can with short Harcourt stories.

We do not have enough Harcourt books for the students so they have to share and Harcourt is not aligned to our current curriculum, Common Core. The books I have chosen are recommended for Common Core curriculum and if I have enough for each student they will be able to each have their own so they can read in school and at home. I am hoping these books will make reading fun and inspire my students.
