Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help us move reading levels! The books we have in our classroom are black and white and aren't fun to read.
My students are the most brilliant people I know.
They are enthusiastic learners that look for new experiences and knowledge in every corner of their lives. They are ELL's that are attending a rigorous Dual-Language school in an Urban community in Washington, DC.
My Project
By having multiple leveled book options for reading, my students will be able to diversify their vocabulary, fluency, and move reading levels. The leveled books will be able to be used by my students during independent reading time, literacy centers, and pair reading time. By having Seat Sacks my students will be able to keep the leveled books they've chosen for the week at their desk. This simplifies transitions and maximizes reading time.
Our goal is for all students to be able to read independently at level C by the end of the school year.
By having these books my students will be able to grow their reading levels. These books would be able to to be used by this class and future classes.
