My Students

The school that I teach at is in the Upstate of South Carolina. In my physical education class, my students are able to showcase their athleticism on a daily basis. They are being exposed to new sports as well as lacrosse, ultimate, and spike ball, in addition to the sports familiar in this area of the state. The equipment that we have is beginning to wear down, especially with badminton.

My Project

The equipment from the project will be used in all classes of grades 6-8th. Students will be able to work on their badminton shots in a one-on-one environment, instead of having to share birdies or rackets with multiple students.

Also, once the students have practiced their badminton shots, our badminton tournament will be able to have more student's playing at the same time with more equipment.

Most of our rackets have worn out to where the strings have broken, and the birdies are not flying like they should. The students love badminton, so the new equipment would keep that love for the sport alive.
