My students need an inspiration station to give them easy access to materials for reading and writing. This station has many options available for working independently.
My students are very excited about reading and writing! This inspiration station would give them easy access to a variety of materials, allowing them to work independently on writing projects. Fostering group independence will allow me to provide individual students extra help when needed.
My students are a lively, busy group of children!
They are making great progress with reading and writing and they are excited about learning to write stories. They love to write and are always asking how to spell words!
The majority of my students come from socially and economically challenged families. They live in a rural area plagued with unemployment and poverty.
These children are eager to learn and have aspirations to be successful when they grow up. They deserve to have the best education that I can possibly provide for them. Having new materials provided especially for them help to build confidence and let them know that they are cared for. Our classroom is a cheerful, safe place and they so enjoy being there. The hugs I receive each day are all I need to keep me striving to give them the best. I know having this inspiration station will greatly improve the dynamics of our classroom and encourage independent reading and writing for my students.
My Project
This inspiration station will hold a variety of writing, reading and math materials that will be easily accessible to students. While I am working with individual students needing extra help, the remaining students will be able to retrieve paper, pens, books, etc. to use to write and read. The station will hold our puppets, and so many other supplies for storytelling, etc. I will also use the station to share big book stories, write the question of the day, share story starters as well as work on math problems. This station will provide a center for creativity where the students can work together independently while improving reading, writing and math skills!
This project will provide much needed storage space for materials that will be in easy reach for the children.
The inspiration station will create a gathering area where students can learn and create together. Learning to work together, share ideas, and gain independence will provide self confidence and encourage my students to become successful students throughout their school years.
