This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom is full of fun, learning, laughter and respect! My students know that our classroom is a community and we treat each other the way we would want to be treated! Kindergarten is an amazing grade to teach- the transformation from beginning to end is phenomenal!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and wide range of background knowledge.

The gaps can sometimes be so large it is amazing to think they are the same age. Many have limited home support and rely on school for consistency, meals, attention and more. The children have a true want to learn and succeed- they come to school to be shown they are capable of their dreams!

My Project

I am requesting an IPad for my classroom because many of them do not have access to them at home. I would love to build an IPad station, but would be so excited to have one to begin with! I have read about using QR codes in the classroom and would love to teach my students how to use them! There are so many educational apps now available. The IPad could be part of a center, a reward, remediation, practice and/or support.

I would be so grateful for any donations toward this project!

My students will be able to interact with technology in a way I cannot provide for them. It will prepare them for life in the 21st century and show them how technology can enhance 'text book' learning!
