Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from homes where English is their second language. All of my students receive free lunch and breakfast. The parents are very supportive and want to see their kids do well. Most families do not have computers at home. We are a technological society where even our youngest students need to be learning with technology.

Boosting our brain power with online learning games!

My students need a second laptop to share among the class to jump-start their math skills. We have access to a very large variety of learning games online. Last year I wrote a project for a laptop and it was funded. It was such a huge success in my classroom that we are requesting an additional laptop so that the students will have more opportunities to learn with the laptops.

My Project

Most of my students do not have access to computers at home. Here at school, we try to provide so many learning opportunities for the students that they do not have access to at home. The parents want to help, but they are struggling just to put food on the table for their families.

We need a Super Hero to help us get a Dell Inspiron laptop to use in the classroom.

With this Dell laptop we can access the school iReady computer program, along with many other excellent learning programs for kids. We can also search the internet for any topic or subject we are learning about for information and pictures. Recently we got a laptop, but with 45 students we need an additional laptop to help the students even more! There are so many new and exciting computer programs that help students of all ages jump start their learning. With your help we can make that possible!
