Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The student population at my school is 95% Hispanic, 3% African American, 1% Caucasian, and 1% Asian. Over 80% of the students in my room are learning English as a second language. I see about a thousand students every week, from kindergarten to grade five.

My school is located in one of the poorest areas of the state.

Our families are plagued by poverty and high unemployment rates. All of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch, and some of them even go home with food on the weekends.

My Project

I would like to get a new projector for my art classroom that is portable and able to be moved around the room. This new portable projector would help my students by allowing them to see demos, learn about art history by viewing examples, and explore tutorials on new lessons.

With this new portable projector, students will be able to learn about artists from different time periods, view presentations, and see demonstrations.

I will be able to place it anywhere in the classroom or even school!

With the new projector, my students would be able to see and experience art in the classroom, and we could move it into any wall or room to make an instant museum on the walls since it is portable. We would use this projector every day, and students would be able to clearly see the material being taught which would help to create a better success rate for them.
