We Need a New Way to Practice the Basics!

My students need personal whiteboards, so they can practice writing letters, numbers, and words individually while we are meeting as a group.

My Students

When my students walk in the door each morning they are ready to learn and are excited for what is in store for them that day. They are growing and learning and have wild imaginations. My students love to move and love to read. Some of my students are experiencing school for the first time as kindergarteners. Others have had a bit of exposure through daycares or preschools. Either way, they are excited to begin their first year as official students at an elementary school.

My Project

These personal whiteboards will make it possible for each of my students to have a whiteboard, so they will not have to wait for a partner or several partners to finish their response to be able to begin writing theirs. This will also give my students a different way to practice writing the basics. Practice is very important for my students.

My students all learn in different ways, and these whiteboards will give my students another way to practice some basic skills that they will continue to use for the rest of their lives.

The increased amount of practice will help prepare them for 1st grade because it will increase their proficiency in writing skills.
