Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
All of my students are English Language Learners and the majority come from low income, high poverty environments. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free/reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Yet they are the most inquisitive and resilient young people you will ever meet.
Project based learning activity allow students to develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills.
It unleashes a contagious, creative energy among students and teachers. My students love learning opportunities that enable them to connect with their peers! I always strive to provide different opportunities for them to tap into their natural curiosity and become lifelong learners. I am so thankful that each new year brings excited new learners and new adventures.
My Project
My class is World History and it is sometimes challenging for students to understand the relevancy of our studies to their everyday lives. It helps when they are able to engage in real-world and personally meaningful projects. This printer, ink and sublimation paper will allow them to print and transfer their images to many things.
Knowing their projects will be in color will encourage their creativity and make them more enthusiastic about their projects.
Please consider helping my students to engage in learning that is deep and long-lasting, and inspires for them to develop a love of learning and a personal connection to their academic experience.
